Glasgow gained the upper- hand in the second quarter en route to a 56-38 girls’ basketball victory in Wolf Point on Saturday, Jan. 27.

After Glasgow took a 14-3 lead in the first quarter, the play of Keeley Blount-Henderson led the Wolves back to trail only 16-11 at one point in the second period.

The Scotties then struck for the last 11 points of the half for a 27-11 advantage.

A basket by Blount-Henderson and a pair of three-pointers by Brenna Blount pulled the Wolves to 10 points in the third quarter.

Glasgow increased the gap to 44-24 at the end of the third period.

Wolf Point’s Azalei Ackerman connected on a three-pointer to bring the Wolves as close as 52-38 in the final minute.

Blount-Henderson led the Wolves with 10 points. Also scoring were Juellz Bauer with nine, Blount with six, Ackerman with six, Karmyn Plain Feather with four and Kashlyn Speak Thunder with three points.

Glasgow’s top scorers were Joelly Chappell with 18 and Mayzie Yoakam with 17 points.

The Wolves head to Malta Friday, Feb. 2, and Harlem, on Saturday, Feb. 3.
