It’s A Girl

Dayva Ann LongHair was born May 23 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow to Dre’Ann Yellow-Robe and Darren Longhair of Wolf Point. She weighed eight pounds, 11 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She joins her brother, Devryn, at home. Grandparents are Jade YellowRobe of Wolf Point, David Grant of Poplar and Alice LongHair of Fort Kipp.

Wolf Point’s Joel is one of the newest members of the Montana Army National Guard. He is a 2023 graduate of Wolf Point High School. He will join as a food service specialist. For his service, he will receive a $20,000 enlistment bonus and the Montgomery GI Bill and Montgomery GI bill kicker, a benefit that provides soldiers with more money for their education. The Wolf Point Museum is officially ready for the summer season after county commissioners approved two hirings on Thursday, June 1. Hired to return at the museum were Sarah Wagner as curator and Sandra Woodstock as museum aid. Five individuals were hired for the county’s weed districts. The student employees are Jade Emly, Jesus Guzman, Trever Powell, Hugh Donaldson and Isaiah Bjorge.

The Milk River Gospel Jamboree will celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 2325 with award-winning singers, musicians and groups from the U.S. and Canada at Malta High School. The Culbertson School Board is having a new chairman for the first time in almost two decades. Paul Finnicum decided to no longer serve in the position after being the chair for 18 years. When he opened the reorganizational meeting in May, Finnicum informed board members that they could nominate anybody for the chair position except for him. “I haven’t made a motion in 18 years,”

The 60th annual Frontier Days in Culbertson is set for Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10. Rodeo action starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
