Authorities Locate Body In River
At about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, searchers from the Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team located the remains of Wolf Point native Stonehail Moccasin, 18. He was found at approximately 16 river miles east of where he was last seen.
The cause of death will be released once autopsy results are available.

The Fort Peck Summer Theatre has announced its 2024 line up. Local auditions will be held in early spring. A variety of opportunities are available in all shows, especially the large cast of Joseph, plus two leading roles for kids in Bonnie & Clyde.

Local Church To Hold Movie Night
Wolf Point’s Community Bible Church will host a movie night on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. The movie Jesus Revolution will be shown.
People are encouraged to bring a friend to this no-cost event.
Popcorn, along with some light refreshments following the movie, will be provided.
Community Bible Church is located on the corner of Fifth Avenue North and Indian Street.

Commissioners Approve Funds For Fire Departments
Roosevelt County commissioners approved a resolution regarding the rotation for fire department vehicle purchases during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
A change is the county is increasing its commitments to the fire departments from $25,000 to $30,000. The funds will be given to one county fire department each year for the next five years.

The Roosevelt County Library will be hosting a series of “watch parties” with the first one scheduled for Sept. 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the library.
The first party is Bison Archaeology in Glacier National Park with Kyle Langley.
All watch parties will be virtual and patrons may sign up to watch them from home if they like.
