Wolf Point Splits Games In Lockwood

Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team split its two contests at the Lockwood tournament during the weekend.

The Wolves knocked off St. Labre by a 57-31 final on Friday, Dec. 8.

The Wolves gained a 16-2 advantage in the first quarter. Kashlyn Speak Thunder had eight points in the quarter.

Wolf Point held a 2210 half-time margin. The Wolves struck for 20 points in the third quarter for a 4218 lead. Azalei Ackerman hit two three-pointers in the third quarter.

Speak Thunder led the Wolves with 17 points. Keeley Blount-Henderson had 12 points.

Also scoring were Ackerman with nine, Juellz Bauer with six, Kylie Rodenberg with four, Ameliya Doney with four, MacKenzie Crawford with two, Ali Corpon with two and Amya Martinez with one.

The Wolves lost by a 71-21 final against Lodge Grass on Saturday, Dec. 9.

Lodge Grass led 20-8 at the end of the first quarter and by a 38-19 half-time margin.

Speak Thunder was Wolf Point’s top scorer with 12 points.

Also scoring were Doney with two, Ackerman with two, Blount-Henderson with two, Martinez with two and Rodenberg with one.

The Wolves will play at Glasgow on Friday, Dec. 21, and host Scobey on Saturday, Dec. 22.
