Bulldogs Outscore Turner Boys
Bainville’s boys’ basketball team posted its first victory of the season when the Bulldogs stopped Turner, 53-46, in Glasgow on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The Bulldogs took a 12-8 lead in the first quarter as Alex Strickland hit two three-pointers to lead the attack.
After holding a 22-20 halftime advantage, Bainville scored 15 points in the third quarter for a 37-25 margin. Cayden Boyd scored seven points in the quarter.
The Bulldogs accounted for 16 points in the final period. Strickland scored eight and Charles Butikofer added seven points in the quarter.
Reaching double figures for the Bulldogs in the game were Strickland with 18, Samuel Butikofer with 11 and C. Butikofer with 11 points.
Also scoring were Boyd with seven, Carter Winn with five and Reese Harmon with a point.
Ryan Doyle scored 17 points to lead Turner.
The Bulldogs will face Alexander, N.D., in Watford City, N.D., on Saturday, Dec. 9.
