Wolf Point Girls Down Sidney, 58-38

Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad played outstanding during the first half and posted a 58-38 victory in Sidney on Thursday, Jan. 26.

The Lady Wolves jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 35-12 halftime advantage.

“We looked like an all-star team in the first half,” Wolf Point Coach Frank Benson said.

Wolf Point held a 49-25 lead after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for the Wolves were Sierra Hamilton with 15, J’Elle Garfield with 13 and Keeley Blount-Henderson with 10 points.

Katelyn MacDonald and KJ St. Marks added six points each. Azalei Ackerman scored four points. Juellz Bauer and Mahala Moran had two points each. St. Marks and Blount-Henderson each hit two three-point shots.

Hamilton and Garfield led the team with six rebounds each. Leaders in assists were Garfield with five, Hamilton with three and Ackerman with two.

Having two steals each were Ackerman, MacDonald and Moran.
