Bainville Girls Score Win Over Lustre

Bainville’s girls’ basketball team got off to a strong start and won at home against Lustre, 55-39, on Friday, Jan. 27.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an 11-4 lead in the first quarter. Hailey Berwick scored five and Talley Berwick added four points in the period.

Bainville held a 23-12 halftime advantage. H. Berwick and Kendra Romo each scored four points in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs led by a 33-21 margin after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for Bainville were H. Berwick with 18 and Lila Butikofer with 10 points.

Also scoring were Elsie Wilson with eight, Brecklyn Pippenger with seven, T. Berwick with six, Romo with four and Chandi Johnson with two points.

Alexa Reddig scored 18 points for the Lions.
