Frazer Bearcubs Fall To Scobey Spartans

The Frazer Bearcubs dropped league basketball games in Scobey Thursday, Jan. 19.

Frazer’s girls lost by a 58-17 final.

Scobey gained a 17-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 29-10 half-time advantage. The Spartans then outscored Frazer by a 16-2 margin in the third quarter.

Baily Beston led the Bearcubs with five points. Also scoring were Shakira Beston with four, Angelina White with three, Audrey Smoker with three and Lianna Jackson with two.

Leading Scobey was Carrie Taylor with 15 points.

In the boys’ game, Scobey won by an 81-26 final.

Scobey’s boys held a ninepoint advantage, 22-13, at the end of the first quarter and was ahead 43-17 at the half.
