Bearcubs Knock Off Dodson Girls

 

The Frazer Bearcubs outscored Dodson, 75-59, in girls’ basketball action on Friday, Jan. 13.

After leading by only a 1513 margin at the end of the first quarter, the Bearcubs struck for 22 points in the second period for a 37-28 lead.

Frazer increased its advantage to 58-43 in the third quarter.

Leading Frazer’s attack were Shakira Beston with 24 and Baily Beston with 19 points.

Also scoring for the Bearcubs were Isabelle Even with nine, Angelina White with three, Lianna Jackson with two and Audrey Smoker with two points.

Kataya KillEagle accounted for 36 of Frazer’s points.

In the boys’ game, the Coyotes earned a 76-31 victory.

Dodson gained a 16-3 lead in the first quarter and held a 33-6 half-time advantage.

Cassius Smoker led Frazer with nine points. Also scoring were Jarvis Goodbird with seven, Ty Fourstar with six, Joseph Beston with five and Zayden Hentges with four.

Leading Dodson were Mickey Jaynes with 13, Sebastian Best with 12, Chaske Cliff with 12 and Junior Stiffarm with 12.
