Cowboys Lose At Home To Plentywood

 

Plentywood pulled away in the second half to defeat Culbertson, 73-49, during boys’ basketball play in Culbertson on Saturday, Jan. 7.

After the Wildcats took a 17-8 lead in the first period, the Cowboys battled back to trail by only a 31-26 half-time margin.

Plentywood struck for 22 points in the third quarter to increase its lead to 53-40. The Wildcats added 20 more points in the final period.

Bridger Salvevold had an outstanding game for the Cowboys with 26 points. He was 11 for 13 from the field.

Also scoring for the Cowboys were Mo Bighorn with eight, Payton Perkins with five, Colin Avance with four, Mark Kirkaldie with three and Shea Scott with three.

Noah Murray scored 29 points for Plentywood.

Also reaching double figures were Easton Tommerup with 15 and Chance Klein with 12 points.

The Cowboys will travel to Bainville on Friday, Jan. 13, and Savage on Saturday, Jan. 14.
