Bulldogs Fall Short Against Plentywood

 

Plentywood got off to a strong start and defeated Bainville, 58-40, in girls’ basketball action in Bainville on Friday, Jan. 6.

The Wildcats gained a 17-6 advantage in the first quarter of the District 2C game. Audrey Sampson scored nine points in the period.

Plentywood went on to lead by a 25-10 half-time margin and by a 46-23 score at the end of the third quarter.

Hailey Berwick led Bainville with 19 points including five three-pointers in the second half. Elsie Wilson finished with 13 points. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Lila Butikofer with four, Miah Pippenger with two and Tally Berwick with two.

Top scorers for Plentywood were Emma Brensdal with 19, Annie Kaul with 13 and Sampson with 11 points.
