COVID Cases Keep Declining In State


Roosevelt County had 12 active COVID cases as of Sunday, March 6. There have been 70 COVID-related deaths in the county. There is one current hospitalization. County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 16 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only. Jacie Campbell


Jacie Jo Campbell, four, died Feb. 27, 2022. She was born Jan. 5, 2018, the fifth of six siblings. She had so much life and love yet still to give. She also took on a very special position of being “daddy’s girl.” She loved watching cartoons and playing with her Barbies. She was a very smart girl, often getting called out on it by friends and family. She joined her big brother, Jathyn, in preschool. Together, they were inseparable, always playing, learning and just having fun no matter what. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Sarina Campbell; siblings, Chiilaabee Harlan, Jathyn Thomas, Rylan Cruz, Richard III and Hamyanie Campbell; grandparents, Harvey Sr. (Monica) Campbell; and great-grandparents, Alva Bighorn and Windy Ackerman. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8, at the Brockton Cultural Center. Interment followed at Fort Kipp Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
