Bainville Places Fourth At Eastern C Divisional Tournament
When the Lustre Lions and Bainville Bulldogs met in the consolation championship game of the Eastern C boys’ basketball tournament in Sidney on Friday, March 4, each program had reasons to be proud of this year’s accomplishments.
Lustre reached admirable heights in boys’ basketball this season including being regular-season district champions and being ranked in state polls. Wins have included
Lustre Loses To Red Hawks
Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team advanced into the divisional title game by edging Lustre Christian, 46-32, in a hard-fought contest at the Eastern C divisional tournament in Sidney on Thursday, March 3.
The Lions played toe-totoe with Froid/Lake during the first half of the semi-final contest and trailed by only a 17-15 margin at intermission. A drive by Kolden Hoversland deadlocked
Bainville Stops Wildcats At Eastern C Tournament
The Bainville Bulldogs gained the upper-hand in the third quarter and downed Plentywood, 65-50, during loser-out action at the Eastern C boys’ basketball tournament in Sidney on Thursday, March 3.
The Bulldogs trailed by a 28-27 half-time margin but struck first in the third quarter on a basket by Charles Butikofer.

Lady Wolves Open Tournament With Victory Over Conrad
Wolf Point’s full-court defensive pressure controlled the action as the Lady Wolves stopped Conrad, 58-42, in the first round of the Northern B divisional basketball tournament in Cut Bank on Thursday, March 3.
The Wolves never trailed in the game and took a quick 4-0 lead on a steal and drive by Josie Kolstad and two free tosses by Hamyanie Campbell.

Bulldogs Drop First-Round Game In Overtime
In a thrilling first-round battle, Lustre Christian emerged with a 71-59 overtime victory over Bainville at the Eastern C boys’ basketball divisional tournament in Sidney on Wednesday, March 2.
A short jumper by Elijah Lenihan put the Lions ahead by a 56-48 margin with under two minutes left in regulation.

Bulldogs Outscore Fusion During Friday’s Action
The Bainville Bulldogs kept their impressive run at the Eastern C divisional tournament going by beating Richey/Lambert, 46-43, in loser-out play on Friday, March 4.
The Bulldogs led by only two points until Charles Butikofer came through with a three-pointer for a 43-38 margin with 2:13 remaining.

Wolves Drop Game To Glasgow
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad struggled in the second quarter and fell to Glasgow, 57-52, in loser-out action at the divisional tournament on Saturday, March 5.
Wolf Point trailed 13-8 late in the first quarter, but a free throw by Hamyanie Campbell and a three-pointer by KJ St. Marks helped trim the margin to 15-12 at the end of the quarter.

Culbertson Loses First-Round Contest
After a promising start, the Culbertson Cowgirls fell to Scobey, 31-26, in the first round of the Eastern C divisional tournament in Sidney on Thursday, March 3.
A 12-footer by Alicyn Ator and a free throw by Destiny Thompson put Culbertson ahead 7-4 at the end of the opening quarter.
The Cowgirls were able to increase the margin to 13-6 midway into the second period on a drive by Megan Granbois
