Chamber Seeks Donations For Stampede Events

The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture asks that people consider sending in donations to make the 100th Wolf Point Stampede the greatest one ever.

Community meetings have been held to discuss possible activities for the celebration.

“There’s a lot of good ideas out there,” chamber president Aaron Kurokawa said.

To conduct some of these events, additional funds are needed. If interested in donating, call the chamber at 406-653-2012.

In addition, a silent auction to benefit the Stampede’s fund is being planned during the Dueling Pianos event scheduled at the Elks Lodge on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Clint Long said that the Stampede buckles should arrive soon. A total of 100 buckles have been ordered by the committee.

There was discussion of how businesses and the entire community could become more involved with homecoming activities. Plans are taking shape for a newcomers’ meet and greet event at the Elks Lodge.

AJ Allen said the Optimist Club of Wolf Point has ordered 500 hot dogs for this year’s Halloweenie event. The club gave away 400 hot dogs in an hour last year.

Wolf Point activities director Eric Peterson said the Eastern C divisional basketball tournament will be held in Wolf Point in March 2023. He reminded the directors that the volleyball team’s cancer awareness night is Thursday, Oct. 13.
