Bainville Places At Indoor Meet
The Bainville Bulldogs scored 32 points in the girls’ division and 22 points in the boys’ division during the Williston indoor Rescue Invitational on Friday, April 22.
Elsie Wilson enjoyed an outstanding day for Bainville’s girls as the freshman finished first in the 200 with a time of 29.28 seconds and earned first in the high jump by clearing 4-9. Wilson placed second in the 60-meter hurdles at 10.67 seconds and fourth in the 400 at 67.41 seconds.
Bainville’s boys were strong in the high jump as Charles Butikofer cleared 5-8 for second place and Samuel Butikofer cleared 5-6 for fourth place. Both of Bainville’s boys’ relay teams placed fifth. The 800-meter relay team of Carter Winn, S. Butikofer, Reese Harmon and C. Butikofer ran the distrance in 1:51.85. The 1600-meter relay team of Winn, S. Butikofer, Ayden Knudsen and C. Butikofer had a time of 4:09.40.
Other results for the Bulldogs included Carter Winn in seventh place for the triple jump at 35-02, and Knudsen in ninth for the 1600 at 5:28.70 and eighth in the 400 at 59.05 seconds.
