Wolves Compete At State Cross-Country Meet Wolves Compete At State Cross-Country Meet

The Wolf Point Wolves earned seventh place in the team standings at the Class B state cross-country meet held in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Wolf Point’s boys finished with 179 points.

Bigfork won the team championship with 100 points followed by Three Forks with 118, Lincoln County with 150 and Glasgow with 155.

Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers earned All-State status by placing fifth at the meet. The freshman finished with a time of 17:09.61.

Red Lodge’s Brandon Emineth was the individual champion at 16:38.93. Lincoln County’s Issac Reynolds placed second at 16:54.09 and Bigfork’s Jack Jensen took third at 16:58.80.

Wolf Point’s Kholby Spotted Wolf, a senior, finished 21st at 17:55.46.

Ethan Blount, a senior, earned 25th at 18:00.16.

Rebel Mays, a freshman, placed 59th at 19:05.81.

Kelby Talks Different, a junior, finished 69th at 19:26.83.

The top three girls’ teams were Red Lodge with 87 points, Broadwater with 100 and Columbus with 109.

Wolf Point’s Hamyanie Campbell, a senior, finished in 57th place at 23:37.61.

Piper Ruffing, a junior, placed 60th at 23:46.36.

Wolf Point’s head coach is Stacey Summers.
