Greetings. I am Patricia “Patt” Iron Cloud Runs Through. I am a current Tribal Executive Board (TEB) member. I am seeking re-election for the 2021 term. I have been elected and served our reservation people for four terms, one of those terms were that as Vice Chairwoman. I have a very large family whom I have dedicated my life to. I run for the TEB for our people. I will always assist and protect our reservation people whether I sit on council or not. Sovereignty is a privilege and our Indian sovereignty must be protected at all times. I have a strong voice and will speak out against any kind of corruption that may threaten that privilege. It is not popular to oppose controversial board action but popularity is not an issue when it comes to protecting our privileges and rights.

One issue I am passionate about is Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons or MMIP. Our children are sacred and our women are sacred. I sit on the MMIP task force for the State of Montana. I was appointed by the Attorney General and have sat on this council for the last four years. This is made up from Native People from all over Montana. It is a strong organization that advocates for Indigenous people, mostly women who are being kidnapped, sold in to sex trafficking, human trafficking or murdered. This brings awareness so we can end the violence of our Native American women and our Native American family members. This violent epidemic disproportionately affects our Native women and Native girls in Montana and in all of America. Please keep your children close to you. Know where they are traveling to or from, and please have them check in with someone along their way. Please keep your little Wakanjapi in eyes reach. Know where they are at all times.
