Indians Compete At Lockwood Meet

 

The Poplar Indians placed fifth in the girls’ team standings during the 7 of 7 cross-country meet held at Lockwood Saturday, Sept. 25.

The Indians finished with 57 points. Hardin topped the field with nine points followed by Red Lodge with 19, Colstrip with 43 and Miles City with 44.

Poplar’s Jazmin Gorder placed sixth in race 1 with a time of 22:18.94. Hardin’s Mariah Aragon earned first at 20:41.37.

Mattie Falls Down of Poplar finished eighth in race 3 at 26:10.78. Hardin’s Dierra Takes Enemy was the winner of the race at 21:56.04.

Jazmyn Carry Water placed fourth in race 4 at 26:09.59. Hardin’s Victoria Takes Enemy took first at 23:47.26.

Poplar’s Bailey Dupree took fifth in race 5 with a time of 27:16.61. Leah Thompson of Hardin won the race at 23:13.99.

Rikki Belton finished 10th in race 6 at 34:22.77. Red Lodge’s Lexi Williams was the winner of the race at 25:00.79.

Precious Keiser took 11th in race 7 at 33:29.37. Hardin’s Debra Don’t Mix earned first at 24:32.38.

Poplar’s boys placed 14th in the team standings with 92 points. Manhattan Christian won the title with 11 points.

Poplar’s Jase Frederick finished 11th in race 1 at 20.34.01. Oren Arthun of Manhattan Christian earned first at 17:14.02.

Geordy Medicine Cloud took 12th in race 2 at 21:44.15. Manhattan Christian’s Nathan Adams finished first at 17:38.69.

For race 3, Poplar’s Morgan Mathison placed 11th at 21:34.74. Hardin’s Tayjon Joe was the winner at 17:57.59.

Poplar’s Delray Lilly finished 16 in race 5 at 27:30.91. Manhattan Christian’s Carter Vandyken took first at 19:17.03.

Finesse Headdress placed 14th in race 6 with a time of 28:57.19. Hardin’s Caleb Mark was first at 19:41.50.

Jaylen Red Dog took 14th at 28:52.32 for race 7. Cavan Visser of Manhattan Christian placed first at 19:35.95.
