Red Cloud Begins Coaching Duties

Anthony Red Cloud is the new head coach for Wolf Point’s football program.

Red Cloud has served as an assistant coach for the Wolves during the past three seasons.

“I’ve always been interested and wanted to stay with the program,” Red Cloud said of taking over as head coach. “It’s always been a career goal of mine.”

His first practice guiding the Wolves came on Friday, Aug. 13.

Red Cloud has long-term goals for the Wolves.

“I just want to build a consistent winning program,” Red Cloud said. “I want to get a little better each year. The expectation is winning.”

Assistant coaches are Scott Montgomery, John Gardner, Frank Benson and Keyvin Brock. Cody Larson is the Frazer representative. There are two players from Frazer on the squad.

The Wolves will open their season at home against Bowman, N.D., on Friday, Aug. 27.
