( Publisher’s Note: The following blotter includes the activities of the Wolf Point police and fire department July 12-18. All those cited or arrested are presumed innocent.) Citations were issued to:

July 17

James Alexander, 45, 400 Blaine Street, aggravated assault, tribal court. Justin White, 24, U.S. Highway 2, operating with expired registration, tribal court.

Nicholas Ahneman, 32, Sixth Avenue, operating without liability insurance, tribal court.

Seventeen-year-old juvenile male, U.S. Highway 2, hours of curfew, driving without a valid license, tribal court.

July 18

Justin Hale Jr. 50, aggravated disorderly conduct, tribal court.

Maurice Beaudry, 29, 400 block of Fairweather Street., disorderly conduct, fleeing or eluding a peace officer, tribal court.

Breon DuPree, 38, 400 block of Blaine St., criminal trespass to property, tribal court.

Fire Blotter July 12: Two trucks and four Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department firefighters responded to a grass fire at 6:30 a.m. on Road 1064 northeast of Wolf Point. It is believed the fire was lightning- caused from a storm that passed through the night before.

July 13: Four firefighters responded in two trucks to extinguish eight spot fires north on Highway 250 west of Wolf Point at 11:42 a.m.

July 15: Two trucks and four firefighters responded at 1:43 a.m. to a hayfield fire that was started by a swather near milemarker 17 on Highway 250.

July 16: The WPVFD responded at 10:47 p.m. to a mutual aid call for a grass fire on West Granada Road northwest of Frazer with two trucks and four firefighters.

July 17: At 4:27 a.m., one truck with two guys and command responded to a vehicle that had been abandoned and then set on fire southeast of the lagoon. The fire was deemed suspicious.

A fire in the ditch near milemarker 596 on U.S. Highway 2 was reported at 4:10 p.m. Two trucks and four firefighters responded. The cause of the fire was lightning.
