Cowboys Fall To Poplar

The Poplar Indians enjoyed a strong offensive night and defeated Culbertson, 76-37, in non-conference boys’ basketball play on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

The Indians ran out to a 28-7 lead in the first quarter and held a 53-17 half-time advantage.

Delray Lilley led Poplar with 24 points including four three-pointers.

Also reaching double figures for the Indians were Geordy Medicine Cloud with 11, Kaniel Ricker with 10 and Walker Burshia with 10 points.

Culbertson’s top scorers were Donte Eagle Boy with 10 and Mark Kirkaldie with nine points.

Also scoring for the Cowboys were Nyreece Halvorson with six, Gavin Deen with five, Plenny Williams with two, Ian Snyder with two, Dawson Bergum with two and Kaden Featherston with one point.
