Wolf Point accounted for an impressive 135 points to capture second place in the boys’ standings at the District 2B track meet held in Glasgow on Saturday, May 13.

Glasgow topped the boys’ race with 234 points. Rounding out the standings were Malta with 80, Harlem with 39 and Poplar with 31 points.

Wolf Point’s girls placed fourth with 48 points. The top three teams were Glasgow with 225, Malta with 141 and Poplar with 66. Harlem took fifth with 39 points.

Five individuals for the Wolves came away with district championships at the meet.

Peyton Summers finished first in the 1600-meter run at 4:47.82 and first in the 3200 at 10:22.68.

Juliun Benson ran a personal best time of 11.43 seconds in the 100-meter dash for top honors.

Charles Page had a mark of 42-8 to earn first place in the shot put.

Vaun Jensen had a best of 18-8 in the long jump for firstplace honors. On the girls’ side, Katelyn MacDonald came through with a mark of 108-10 for first place.

Wolf Point’s boys’ 400-meter relay team featuring Kraven Silk, Vaun Jensen, Maddox Reum and Benson finished first at 45.7 seconds.

Boys placing second for the Wolves were Benson at 23.73 in the 200, Preston Swenson with a time of 47.05 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles and Jensen with a best of 37-1 in the triple jump.

The 1600-meter relay team of Reum, Summers, Swenson and Benson earned second place at 3:56.54.

Kylie Rodenberg finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.41 seconds.

The girls’ 400-meter relay team of Rodenberg, Kashlyn Speak Thunder, Navella Weeks and MacDonald finished third at 55.71 seconds.

Speak Thunder, a freshman, earned third in the long jump at 14-6 and fifth in the triple jump at 29-9.

Placing third for Wolf Point’s boys were Sam Boysun with a mark of 17-9 in the long jump, Silk at 23.99 in the 200, Benson at 54.24 in the 400 and Summers at 2:09.27 in the 800.

Reum finished fourth in the 100 at 11.7 and fourth in the 200 at 24.03. Tavian Bell took fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at 53.4 seconds.

For the girls, MacDonald earned fourth place in the shot put at 30-8 and fourth in the 100 at 14.21 seconds. The senior cleared 7-0 in the pole vault for fifth place.

Rodenberg placed fourth in the long jump at 14-4.

Weeks finished fifth in the 100 at 14.3 seconds.

Sean Hamilton earned fifth in the javelin with a best of 114-9 and Bell cleared 6-6 for sixth in the pole vault. Silk took fifth in the 100 at 11.75 seconds.

Trenton Hamilton finished sixth in the 3200 at 13:08.99.

The Wolves will compete at the divisional track meet in Great Falls on Saturday, May 20.
