Wolves Score During Action In Great Falls
Wolf Point’s boys scored 30 points for eighth place and Wolf Point’s girls finished with 12 points for 14th place at the Fairfield/Belt State Preview track meet held in Great Falls on Saturday, April 30.
The top three boys’ squads were Seeley-Swan with 67 points, Glasgow with 48 and Lewistown with 41 points.
Topping the girls’ division were Seeley-Swan with 78 points, Lewistown with 66 and Glasgow with 42 points.
Wolf Point’s boys came away with two first-place finishes. Ethan Blount earned first in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:41.62. Peyton Summers finished first in the 3200 at 10:08.70.
Blount, a senior, took second in the 3200 at 10:20.45. Summers, a sophomore, placed fifth in the 1600 at 4:54.98.
Mason Garfield took seventh in the shot put with a mark of 41-10.
Katelyn McDonald led the Lady Wolves with two places at the meet. The junior took second in the javelin with a mark of 109-3. She placed fourth in the shot put with a best of 32-5.
Josie Kolstad took seventh in the javelin with a best of 99-3.
Wolf Point will host the Gene Nelson Memorial Invitational on Friday, May 6.
