Lady Wolves Fall Short In Baker

Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team struggled in the third quarter and fell at Baker by a 53-49 final on Friday, Jan. 7.

The Wolves trailed by a 2825 margin at the half. Baker then outscored Wolf Point by a 16-3 margin in the third quarter to take a 44-28 advantage.

Wolf Point responded with 21 points in the fourth quarter but came up short in their comeback bid. Sierra Hamilton scored 11 points in the final period.

Top scorers for the Wolves were Josie Kolstad and Hamilton with 12 points each.

Also scoring were Hamyanie Campbell with eight, Jaylee Azure with seven, Kaylandra St. Marks with six, J’Elle Garfield with two and Katelyn McDonald with two.

Leading the Spartans were Eve Uecker with 11 and Kyal Hanley with nine points.
