Tribal Elections Verified Following Recounts
The Tribal Executive Board will feature one change following recounts in Poplar’s district 1 and both districts in Wolf Point. Following the recount, Lawrence Hamilton will replace Dana Buckles. All other positions will remain the same. Final counts are as follows: Marva Chapman (965), Grant Stafne (882), Alex Smith (818), Melvin Terry Rattling Thunder (641), Justin Gray Hawk (590), Bryce Kirk (555), Shannon Dionne-Martell (509), Stacey Summers (508), Wayne Martell (497), Carolyn Bighorn Brugh, (481), Patt Iron Cloud Runs Through (469) and Lawrence Darrell Hamilton (461).
Dana “Sam” Buckles and Kaci Wallette tied for 13th place at 449 votes. Leonard “Bighorn” Crow Belt received 441 votes, followed by Mary Follette (436), Charles “Chug” Knowlton (434), Darren Long Hair (425), Peter “Tonto” Dupree (420), Carrie Manning (418), Elizabeth “Cory” DeCoteau Lingle (411), Frank L.
