Wolves Open Season At Tournament

Wolf Point’s volleyball squad opened its season at the Choteau Invitational during the weekend.

Positive results included victories over Ennis and Simms along with having a close battle against Harlem.

“They worked hard and kept up with most of the teams,” Wolf Point Coach Jaki Harada said. “This tournament gave up good insight into what works well and what we need to work as a team,” Harper Weeks, Maia Kent and Cali Gorder accounted for multiple combined digs on defense.

Ma’Kenzie Jackson, Addy Smith, Weeks, Butterfl y Lindsay and McKenzie Rodenberg were battling on the net with great blocks and good kills.

Mattie Azure and Anna Matejovsky scored multiple assists, blocks and a few kills.

Lindsay and Gorder served multiple aces in every match.

The Wolves will travel to Scobey on Thursday, Sept. 3, and host Harlem on Saturday, Sept. 5.
