TEB Approves New Officer, Buffalo Donation
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular full board meeting June 22.
The board voted to approve the Tribal Operations O er to disburse payment to Sonosky & Chambers $35,928.78 for legal services rendered for the month of April.
Also approved, the submission of an application from the Fort Peck O e of Environmental Protection to the U.S. Department of Energy Unleashing Tribal Energy Development Funding Opportunity Number DEFOA- 0003548, with Wilfred Lambert director of O e of Environmental protection as the project manager responsible for overseeing project implementation, coordination, compliance, reporting and completion of all project activities should funding be awarded and designated.
The Department of Law and Justice was authorized to hire Ms. Grey Bear as a police o er with a favorable background. The board also temporarily extended an additional 30 days for John Walking Eagle as a fencer for the Bu_alo Ranch until this position is filled.
The 2027 Budget and Scope of Work for the Fort Peck Tribes Sponsorship Health Insurance Program (TSHIP) Contract with the Indian Health Service plus associated Contract Support Cost funds was approved.
The Community Services Program was approved to submit payment to Eddy Bauer in the amount of $1,9120.43, as well as payment to the City of Wolf Point for $1,968.
A request from Spotted Bull Recovery Resource Center to harvest one of the bu_alo from the cultural herd was approved.
The Fort Peck Dialysis services was authorized to enter into agreement with Billings Clinic to provide outpatient dialysis service to a patient waiting for adequate insurance coverage.
TEB is the duly elected body representing the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation and is empowered to act on behalf of the Tribes. All actions shall be adherent to provisions set forth in the 1960 Constitution and By-Laws. The next full meeting is set for July 6 in Poplar.
