Golfers Play At State Meet
Golfers from Wolf Point and Poplar were among the participants at the Class B state golf tournament held in Billings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wolf Point’s Maia Kent had a two-day score of 201 for 41st place at the state meet.
McKinlee Paulson placed 55th with a score of 218.
Poplar’s Frankie Crawford shot a 223 for 57th place.
Cate Leydig of Lone Peak earned the state title with a 151. Teammate Olivia Kamieniarz placed second with a 157.
Lone Peak won the team championship followed by Florence-Carlton and Anaconda.
In the boys’ division, Poplar’s Lukas Young tied for 70th place with a 190.
Manhattan’s Blake Bentle won the state title with a 147. Zach Munding of Missoula Loyola was right behind with a 148. Malta’s Regan Stuart placed third with a 151.
The top three boys’ teams were Florence-Carlton, Manhattan and Missoula Loyola. Glasgow placed fifth in the team standings.
