Poplar’s track athletes qualifi ed for the divisional meet during action at the district meet in Fairview on Saturday, May 16.

The Indians accounted for 36 points in the girls’ division and 18 points in the boys’ division.

Mila Gramling led Poplar’s girls by running to a firstplace finish in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:38.6 and second place in the 1600 at 5:50.16.

Kellyn Azure earned second in the 3200 at 13:10.38 and sixth in the 1600 at 6:11.03.

Lilliana O’Neal placed fifth in the discus with a mark of 98-8.

Placing sixth were Liberty Boadle with a time of 18.5 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and Audrey Swallers with a time of 2:43.89 in the 800.

Poplar’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team featuring Boadle, Azure, Gramling and Swallers finished fourth with a time of 4:55.94.

The 400-meter relay team consisting of Paige Gray-Hawk, Kelbee Redstone, Amelia Weeks and Madison Knowlton took sixth at 1:00.66.

In the boys’ division, Wilder Bearcub placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at 44.92 seconds and fourth in the high jump by clearing 5-6.

Raylando Red Eagle placed fourth in the 1600 at 4:59.36 and fifth in the 3200 at 10:40.02.

Eljin Greybear took sixth in the 3200 with a time of 10:40.40.

Memphis Mathison was sixth in the long jump with a mark of 17-6.

Poplar’s boys’ 1600-meter relay team of Jayden Eder, Dustin Smith, Mickey Failing and Mathison finished fifth with a time of 4:12.75.

The divisional track meet is scheduled in Glasgow on Friday and Saturday.
