Track athletes from Wolf Point, Poplar and Lustre Christian were among the competitors during the Fairview Invitational held on Monday, April 20.

Wolf Point’s girls’ 400-meter relay team featuring Addy Smith, Anna Matejovsky, Harper Weeks and Navy Weeks ran to a first-place finish with a time of 54:01 seconds.

Smith cruised to a firstplace finish in the 400. Smith, a sophomore, earned second place in the 200 with a time of 27.94 seconds. She was sixth in the 100.

Matejovsky cleared 9-0 to earn second place in the pole vault.

Amya Martinez earned third place in the shot put with a mark of 32-11.

Layla Headdress placed fifth in the 3200 at 14:21.73.

Wolf Point’s girls took fourth in the team standings with 39 points. Richey/Lambert topped the standings with 96 points.

Leading Wolf Point’s boys was Sean Hamilton by taking third in the discus with a mark of 133-02. The senior placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 41-3.

Damari Martinez took sixth place in the 110-meter hurdles.

Lustre’s boys took second in the team standings with 88.5 points. Richardton-Taylor, N.D., captured first with 101 points.

Johnslee Pierre was a triple winner for Lustre. The senior took first in the triple jump at 45-07, first in the long jump at 22-06 and first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.43 seconds.

Prestyn Klatt and Jaycee Hilkemann also earned firsts for the Lions. Klatt finished first in the 800 at 2:09.75 and Jaycee Hilkemann took first in the 3200 at 10:54.56.

Klatt placed second in the 1600 at 4:41.93 and Hilkemann took third at 4:46.20.

KJ Brown earned fourth in the 100 at 12 seconds. Cam Reddig was third in the 200 at 24.98 seconds. Klatt cleared 5-8 for fifth place in the high jump.

Lustre’s boys’ 1600-meter relay team consisting of Chris Traeholt, Klatt, Hilkemann and Pierre finished first at 3:37.36. The 400-meter relay team of Wheeler Damboise, Reddig, Traeholt and Brown took second at 46.69 seconds.

Lustre’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team featuring Lauryn Holzrichter, Justice Byers, Samantha Neufeld and Kencia Brown finished first at 4:27.11.

Kencia Brown earned first in the javelin with a mark of 106-10.

Neufeld placed second in the 800 with a time of 2:36.39.

Holzrichter earned fifth in the triple jump with a best of 28-09.

Poplar’s Eljin Grey Bear placed second in the 3200 at 10:59.83 and fifth in the 1600 at 5:01.46.

Wilder Bear Cub cleared 5-8 for fourth place in the high jump. Trentin Youpee earned fifth in the long jump at 18-0.

Raylando Red Eagle placed fifth in the 3200 at 11:57.35 and sixth in the 1600 at 5:03.39.

In the girls’ division, Mila Grambling finished first in the 3200 at 12:50.67 and third in the 1600 at 5:56.11.

Kellyn Azure earned second in the 3200 at 13:15.78 and fourth in the 1600 at 6:00.21.

Alara Cooper finished fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:57.63.

Teams will compete in Miles City on Friday, April 24.
