After leading at half-time, Brockton’s boys’ basketball team came up short against Jordan, 66-55, during loser- out play at the Eastern C divisional tournament in Miles City on Friday, March 6.

The Warriors held a 2523 half-time advantage and opened the third quarter with a layup by Josh Firemoon and a basket off a rebound by Colter Nygard.

The outside shooting of Jarid FastHorse and inside play of Nygard led Brockton to a 35-30 lead midway into the third quarter.

Jordan then struck for seven straight points to take the lead.

After a drive by Firemoon tied the game at 37-37, the Mustangs tallied the last six points of the quarter including a three-pointer by Brody Twitchell.

The scoring of Weston Lambert kept Brockton close early in the fourth period. FastHorse then fired in a three-pointer for a 47-46 game with 4:21 remaining.

Jordan responded with the next six points. FastHorse hit another three-pointer with 3:17 remaining, but Kody Saylor scored the game’s next five points for a 58-49 margin.

Ronnie Black Dog connected on a three-pointer to pull the Warriors to 58-52 with 1:21 remaining. The Mustangs put the game away with the next six points.

Top scorers for the Warriors were FastHorse with 14, Nygard with 12 and Miles Boxer with 11 points.

Also scoring were Lambert with nine, Firemoon with seven and Black Dog with three points.
