Lions Lose To Circle

Lustre’s girls’ basketball team lost by a 62-49 final against a solid Circle squad at home on Friday, Feb. 6.

The Lions led by a 30-29 half-time margin, but Circle accounted for 21 points in the third quarter to earn a 50-38 advantage.

Top scorers for the Lions were Kencia Brown with 20, Lauryn Holzrichter with 10 and Samantha Neufeld with nine points.

Also scoring were Sidney Klatt with four, Hannah Brown with two, Grace Byers with two, Harlo Reddig with one and Lauren Fast with one.

Allie Kountz scored 20 points to lead Circle’s attack. Also reaching double figures were Madeline Moline with 17 and Charlie Moline with 10 points.
