Wolf Point Planning Holiday Events For Saturday
The Optimist Club of Wolf Point is again busy this holiday season as members are planning for the annual Christmas bazaar and Angel Fund project.
The bazaar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Wolf Point High School. Cost for vendors is $30 per space. Vendors need to bring their own tables and chairs.

The bazaar usually attracts about 60-70 vendors. Available items range from beads to candles to picture to jewelry. Baked goods and metal works are also traditional items for sale.
Cookies and candy by the pound will be available at the Optimists’ table. Also at the cookie table, there will be application forms to join the Optimist Club or to volunteer for events.
Lunch items for sale in the multi-purpose room will include a salad bar, chili, chili dogs and beverages.
Optimist members note that the bazaar is held in conjunction with the Christmas Stroll and the Festival of Trees held at the Wolf Point Elks Event Center.
The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is excited to present the annual Wolf Point Christmas Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Chamber president Nicole Miller announced that the stroll will once again included a professional Santa for photos. Nicole Miller Photography will offer the photos.
The stroll will begin at 5 p.m. Offerings on Dec. 6 will include the Sherman Inn’s naughty and nice hot cocoa, the Lions Club’s free chili, Opportunity Bank’s s’more station, Independence Bank’s caramel apple nachos, Build Pro Construction’s hayrides, Nutrien Ag Solution’s hot dogs, High Plains Motors will hand out holiday candy and the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will provide nachos.
The Angel Tree project, meanwhile, provides gifts for less fortunate children in Wolf Point.
Deadline for donations is Saturday, Dec. 13. This year’s drop-off location is the Northern Plains Independent office at 408 Main St.
People wishing to donate can pick up the Angels at the banks in Wolf Point, Agland Hardware and Wolf Point Mercantile.
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office will again deliver the gifts. Optimists will prepare and wrap the gifts the days immediately prior to delivery. Wolf Point’s radio station, KVCK, will host the Optimists’ annual radio-a-thon from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, with all proceeds going to the Angel Tree project. The event will feature local musicians playing on the air.
Projects that the Optimists perform during the year include Halloweenie, drive-thru Valentines Day meals, Easter egg hunt, fill-a-box, ice cream socials, health and wellness of children, community garage sale, scholarships and an essay contest.
