Wolves Lose In Glasgow
Wolf Point’s volleyball squad dropped a close match in Glasgow on Thursday, Oct. 23, by a final of 25-27, 21-25, 1325.
In the first set, the Wolves gained a 16-9 lead on a pair of kills by Lauren Rodenberg. Kills by Anna Matejovsky and Rodenberg increased the gap to 19-11.
A kill by Ma’Kenzie Jackson put Wolf Point’s lead to 22-16. After Glasgow struck for three straight points, the Wolves responded with a back-row kill by Rodenberg for a 23-19 advantage. Wolf Point held a 24-22 lead, but the Scotties moved ahead 2524.
A kill by Rodenberg tied the game at 25-25 before Glasgow tallied the last two points.
In the second set, the Wolves stayed even with Glasgow at 17-17 on kills by Adalynn Smith and Rodenberg. Glasgow gained a 23-18 advantage, but the Wolves fought back to 23-21 on a block by Smith and a kill by Matejovsky. The Scotties, however, then tallied the last two points.
Glasgow jumped out to a 12-4 in the third set en route to a 25-13 victory.
