Roosevelt County 4-H Honors Businesses, Jasper

Roosevelt County 4-H saluted two businesses and one individual who have a tradition of being positive influences to the area’s youth and the 4-H program. The awards were presented prior to the livestock auction at the Roosevelt County Fair on Friday.
Wall of Fame
The 4-H program selected OWL Inc. (Oil Field Waste Logistics) for its Wall of Fame. In business since 2012, OWL is a premier TENORM disposal firm serving North Dakota’s Bakken Oil Fields and based in Bainville.
Officials noted, “Your generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness and support have not gone unnoticed. You are seen. We appreciate and commend you for all that you do behind the scenes.”
OWL has been a steadfast supporter of the 4-H program, not only through the annual livestock auction but also through year-round involvement in fundraising efforts, youth events and school functions. They are a family-run operation with strong community values.
“They are the ones working behind the scenes, always willing to lend a hand to ensure success for others,” officials reported. “In recognition of this dedication, selflessness and humble service, the Roosevelt County 4-H is proud to nominate OWL Inc. to our Wall of Fame. Their courageous and quiet leadership has made a lasting impact on our community and on the lives of countless families.”
4-H Appreciation Bob Jasper is someone who defines what it means to serve with heart. He is the person you call, no matter what time, no matter the need.
Officials said, “He’s generous, dependable and always ready with a helping hand and a good laugh. His impact is felt across our community, especially through his incredible support of local youth and 4-H.”
He is often volunteering and quietly stepping in to get things done without seeking recognition.
Jasper is this year’s 4-H Appreciation Award recipient.
John Deere
All Culbertson John Deere dealership owners, currently C& B Operations, have been strong supporters of the Roosevelt County 4-H program.
They realize the importance of 4-H sponsorship and the youth of the area. They are always excited to see the youth and their enthusiasm for the future of agriculture by showing their projects at the Roosevelt County Fair.
Officials said, “They believe that youth are the future and our strong relationship with them over the years has been vital to the community.” C& B is always proud to support 4-H.
