Runners Place At State Games

Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers had a busy and successful time at this year’s Big Sky State Games.

Summers, who is entering his sophomore year at Dawson Community College, finished fifth in the Montana Mile with a personal best time of 4:22. On Saturday, Summers earned first in the half marathon and then won the Big Sky’s 5,000 meters on Sunday.

Sierra Summers finished first in the women’s 5K run on Saturday. Stacey Summers took first in the 5K for her age division. John Wetsit was second in his age group for the 10K. Riley Rees placed sixth in the half marathon.
