Willa Frances Buck Gray-Hawk, Nakoda name 'Gives the Blanket', 61, died June 17, 2025.
She was born to William and Florence McConnell Buck on July 13, 1964, in Wolf Point at Trinity Hospital.
She lived with Jesus in her heart.
She had a large family, even though she was raised with one brother, W. George Buck. To her, family was everything and her grandchildren were her greatest achievement.
She was a notary for the State of Montana for quite some time and worked for the Fort Peck Tribes since she was 15 years old on the CETA program, also in various programs with the FPT. She was currently working at SBRRC as their fiscal financial specialist, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She obtained her MBA through the University of Mary, Bismarck, N.D., and her bachelor’s degree at Rocky Mountain College in Billings. She attended and graduated from Frazer High School.
She liked sewing; reading true crime books; crossword puzzles; cruising around up north with her husband, Tote; and plants.
She lived in the Los Angeles, Calif., area for a while with her parents while they went on a placement program the BIA had offered them. She moved back to Frazer with her mother and brother and stayed there until her death.
