Indians Lose To Thunder
Poplar’s football team lost on the road against MonDak by a 50-18 final on Saturday, Sept. 26.
After the Thunder took a 20-0 advantage, the Indians got on the scoreboard when Anthony Youngman returned a kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
MonDak increased its lead to 26-6 on an eightyard run by quarterback Dillon Wade during second quarter action.
Wade intercepted a pass and went 40 yards for a touchdown to put the Thunder ahead 34-6 near the end of the half.
Another touchdown run by Wade gave MonDak a 42-6 advantage early in the third quarter. After a fumble recovery, the Thunder added a touchdown for a 50-6 lead. Poplar struck back on a pass play from Keilen Erickson to Chasen Pribbernow that covered 54 yards for a touchdown.
In the fourth quarter, the Indians scored on a four-yard pass from Erickson to Youngman.
The Indians will host Forsyth for their homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 2.
