Runners Earn Honors In Poplar

The Culbertson/Bainville cross country team placed sixth in the boys’ division with 129 points at the Poplar Invitational on Friday, Sept. 4.

Cal Steppler earned top 10 honors by taking seventh with a time of 19:41.3.

Arlie Purvis finished 36th at 24:24.5. Logan Telck earned 42nd place at 25:13.0.

Trust Magwaba placed 48th with a time of 26:01.9. Soren Batt took 54th at 28:53.1.

Anna Steppler led the girls’ team with a time of 22:56.4 for third-place honors. Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder posted the winning time of 22:07.5.

Jaclynne Taberna placed 14th at 26:04.2. Rebekah Ellerkamp took 38th at 30:03.7.

Froid/Lake

Froid/Lake’s Colby Parenteau finished in 47th place with a time of 25:50.1.

In the girls’ division, Leah Murray placed 46th at 33:54.5.

Team will compete in Scobey on Thursday, Sept. 10.
