TEB Approves Buckles For Head Start
During the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board’s regular, full board meeting Monday, Aug. 24, in Poplar, Donelle Buckles was approved as the Head Start director.
The board voted to give the Wolf Point Food Pantry a buffalo.
The board also approved a proposal from the IRR Program in the amount of $80,000 to complete the service road at the new Early Childhood Center, as well as a proposal from Brad Grainger to install security equipment.
A Letter Of Engagement was approved with Warren Land & Livestock, Bethany Toews, for appraisal services for the following buildings: Fort Peck Tribes Diabetes Program, TSHIP, Tribal Health Housing sites, Wambdi Wahachanka “Eagle Shield” Water Treatment Plant, Brockton School Based Healthcare Building, HPDP North, HPDP South, HI-Line Building, Tribal Youth Court and possible additional buildings. Payment to Sonosky & Chambers was approved in the amount of $66,849.95 for legal services rendered for the month of June.
The TTP/IRR Program was approved to purchase a Trimble SX12 Survey Robotic Instrument in the amount of $59,349.
A contract with Integrity Environmental LLC Construction was approved in the amount $154,894.00 for the Head Start admin building.
The Branch of Correction was approved to promote Daniel Orcutt to Lieutenant, Grade 9.
The board approved a new contract with Dakota Blue as a consultant with Spotted Bull Recovery Resource Center to provide horses for the equine therapy and equine related services.
The board approved a construction contract for the Wolf Point 7th Avenue North Housing Streets-Concrete Project to Strata construction in the amount of $763,257.51.
A request was made by Fort Peck Tribes Branch of Correction to implement Night Deferential Pay at 15 percent of the basic rate of pay between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
TEB is the duly elected body representing the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation and is empowered to act on behalf of the Tribes.
