Maggie LongTree

Maggie Cheryl LongTree, died June 27, 2026, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow.

She was born Aug. 16, 1953, in Poplar to Esther Melbourne and John LongTree Jr.

Her life was marked by quiet strength, creativity and a deep devotion to family and friends. After spending her early years at the Montana State Children’s School in Twin Bridges until 1971, she made her home in Glasgow where she raised her children, Jennifer and Cheyenne Limberhand.

She found joy in simple pleasures such as handcrafting star quilts that warmed both beds and hearts, laughing over bingo nights and gathering at Oasis with the many friends she cherished. Her greatest delight was time with family: sharing stories, hugs and laughter with grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought light to her days.

She is survived by her son, Cheyenne Limberhand; brother, Gordon LongTree; sister, Myra LongTree; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Limberhand; brothers, Alan and Mark LongTree; sisters, Eugenia Jackson- Warclub and Linda Rae; and life partner, Tony Jones.

A viewing was held on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bell Mortuary in Glasgow. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, at Bell Mortuary. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
