Runners Place At Dam Race
Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers was the 10K winner during the Longest Dam Race held at Fort Peck on Saturday, June 20. Summers finished with a time of 32:27.8.
Placing second was Shy Iverson of Billings at 39:01.1. Taking third was Glasgow’s Charlie Kaasa at 39:32.7.
Wolf Point’s Andrew Williamson placed fourth at 45:32.4. Wes Headdress took ninth at 51:14.4. Lustre Christian student Jaycee Hilkemann finished in 17th place.
In the women’s division, Iris McKean finished first with a time of 42:28.2. Placing from Wolf Point were Yolanda Red Dog in ninth at 52;54.1 and Deanna DiUlio in 13th at 1:07.08. In the men’s 5K run, Glasgow’s Brenner Flaten earned first at 43:41.3. Wolf Point’s Dave Williams placed fifth at 51:06.4. Also placing from Wolf Point were Jaronn Boysun, David Parsley and Anthony Benton.
Glasgow’s Hollie Young won in the women’s 5K at 39:35.1. Wolf Point’s Mandy Azure placed sixth at 43:46.7. Poplar’s Lauri Handy was 13th at 45:45.0. Also competing from Wolf Point were Sibley Jankoviak, Azurene Real Bird, Mary Clark, Trinity Whitmus, Nichola Hilkemann, Sheila Davis and Heike Burns.
Jaycee Hilkemann earned first in the 10-mile novice bike race with a time of 31:07.3.
Deanna DiUlio took first in the women’s bike race at 34:55.4.
