Police To Get Stricter Regarding Dirt Bikes

The Wolf Point Police Department announces that it has received numerous complaints regarding illegal dirt bikes and other off-road vehicles being ridden on city streets. The activity is regarded as unsafe and disruptive to residents.

Effective immediately, the Wolf Point Police Department will no longer issue warnings and instead citations will be written.

Officers will also be impounding these vehicles on sight. Impounded bikes will be held as evidence pending the final disposition of any and all written citations and until the owner provides proof of ownership.

If the owner of the vehicle decides to drive it on a public roadway, in a safe legal manner, the vehicle must be street legal, including proper lighting, carry proof of registration, and have a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement.
