Fairview, Plentywood Will Move Back To Class C

The Fairview Warriors and Plentywood Wildcats are scheduled to move back to Class C starting with the 2027-2028 year. Both schools are currently members of District 2B.

The final district and divisional assignments are pending a final decision at the Montana High School Association’s executive board meeting in November.

Fairview and Plentywood are expected to rejoin District 2C.

Other schools being reclassifi ed are Anaconda and Jeerson in Class A, and Cascade and Park City to Class B.

Other action by the executive board included girls’ wrestling going to AA and A-C classifications in 20262027 with 16 qualifiers per weight class. Boys’ wrestling will be changed to 14 weight classes.
