Track Athletes Rank Near Top In State Results

There are quite a few northeastern Montana track athletes who currently have one of the best times or distances in the state so far this season.

Lustre Christian’s Johnslee Pierre ranks first in Class C with a time of 16.11 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. The senior ranks first for Class C in the long jump at 21-8.

Lustre’s Jaycee Hilkemann has the best Class C time in the 3200 at 10:32.51.

Wolf Point’s Anna Matejovsky ranks 10th overall with a best of 9-6 in the pole vault. Glasgow’s Mayzie Yoakam is ninth at 10-0. Conrad’s Ava Krings tops Class B at 12-0.

Culbertson’s Brooks Solem ranks first in Class C and 10th overall with a best of 166-8 in the javelin.

Bainville’s Kaiden Holmes ranks first in Class C with a time of 2:06.31 in the 800-meter run.

Malta’s Dawson Hammond has the seventh fastest time in the 100-meter dash at 11.08 seconds. His time is the second fastest in Class B. Hammond also ranks sixth overall and second in Class B for the 200 at 22.36 seconds. He is second in Class B and fourth overall in the 400 at 50.74 seconds.

Harlem’s Ethan Walker has the sixth overall fastest time in the 1600 at 4:31.04. Walker is eighth in the 3200 at 9:55.39. He tops the Class B rankings in both races.

Glasgow’s Cade Hudyma is eighth in the shot put rankings with a best of 51-6. He ranks second in Class B.

Plentywood’s Henry Kukowski ranks fourth overall and first in Class B with a mark of 22-3 in the long jump. He ranks first in Class B and eighth overall with a mark of 42-5 in the triple jump.

In the girls’ division, Bainville’s Hailey Berwick ranks first in Class C and seventh overall with a time of 1:01.01 in the 400-meter dash.

Jolee Klempel of Richey/ Lambert has the best time in Class C for the 100 at 13:05 seconds. The junior also has the best time in the 100-meter hurdles for Class C at 16.21 seconds and best mark in the shot put for Class C at 37-0.

Malta’s Denvyr Tuss ranks seventh overall in the shot put and second in Class B with a best of 38-0. Tuss ranks eighth overall and first in Class B with a mark of 119-5 in the discus.

Whitewater’s Kennedy Simonson ranks fifth overall and first in Class C with a best of 123-0 in the javelin.

Hinsdale’s BaiLee McColly is tied for sixth overall and third in Class C with a height of 5-2 in the high jump.
