Lustre Defeats Nashua Teams
Lustre Christian ended its regular-season with two conference basketball victories over Nashua on Friday, Feb. 13.
In the girls’ game, the Lions posted a 63-35 victory.
Lustre jumped out to a 2711 lead in the first quarter and held a 36-15 half-time advantage.
Leading the Lions to the victory were Kencia Brown with 19 and Lauryn Holzrichter with 12 points.
Rounding out the scoring were Lauren Fast with nine, Hannah Brown with eight, Tessa Olfert with four, Ashtyn Traeholt with four, Samantha Neufeld with three, Harlo Reddig with two and Sidney Klatt with two.
Top scorers for Nashua were Dyllan Bergstrom with 19 and Ryder Bilger with 11 points.
Lustre’s boys rolled to a 9119 victory over Nashua.
The Lions earned a 32-8 lead in the first quarter and then outscored Nashua 14-0 in the second period for a 46-8 margin. Lustre tallied 33 points in the third quarter for a 79-11 advantage.
Cam Reddig and Joel Reddig scored 16 points each for the Lions. Also reaching double figures were Johnslee Pierre with 14, Prestyn Klatt with 13 and Chris Traeholt with 10.
Also scoring were Wheeler Damboise with six, Diek Olfert with five, Hadden Olfert with four and Yoseph Lee with two.
