Frazer’s Girls Earn Home Victory Over Nashua
Frazer’s girls’ basketball squad dominated the second quarter to beat Nashua, 65-31, at home on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
The Bearcubs ended the opening quarter on a high note when Aubrey Mail hit a three-pointer and Bethany Hotomanie scored off a rebound for a 17-11 advantage.
With the score at 20-13 early in the second period, the Bearcubs started taking control with five straight points by BriAnna Beston. A pair of three-pointers by Isabelle Fourstar increased Frazer’s lead to 31-13.
After a free throw by Nashua’s Kimber Tihista, the Bearcubs accounted for the final seven points of the half on a three-pointer by Fourstar and a pair of hoops by Cassidy Mail for a 38-14 half-time advantage.
The Bearcubs held a 50-21 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Leading Frazer’s attack with Beston with 20, Fourstar with 10 and Elli Mail with nine points.
Also scoring for the Bearcubs were Aubrey Mail with six, Hotomanie with four and Kassidy Hentges with four points.
