Wrestlers Place In Wyoming

Area wrestlers enjoyed success during the tournament held in Moorcroft, Wyo., last weekend.

In the girls’ tournament, Poplar placed 11th with 75.5 points and Wolf Point was 15th with 38 points.

Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder won the championship at 100 pounds. The eighth-grader pinned Glasgow’s R. Pattison in 2:18 for the title.

Lakealah Mays placed eighth at 105 pounds. She scored two pins at the meet.

Two of Poplar’s girls placed second at the tournament.

Alara Cooper earned second at 115 pounds. She lost by a 6-2 decision in the title match.

Laityn Allen placed second at 110 pounds. After winning two matches on pins, Allen lost on a pin in the title match.

Liberty Boadle took third at 120 pounds. Boadle earned five victories at the tournament.

In the boys’ tournament, Jesse Reed placed second at 150 pounds. Reed pinned three opponents at the meet.
