Lions Defeat Nashua Teams
Lustre’s boys’ basketball team jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter and downed Nashua, 69-30, on Friday, Jan. 23.
The Lions gained a 26-4 command in the opening quarter. Lustre went on to take a 47-16 half-time lead.
The Lions held a 66-23 advantage after three quarters of play.
Leading Lustre’s attack were Joel Reddig with 18 and Cam Reddig with 15 points.
Also scoring were Prestyn Klatt with six, Chris Traeholt with five and Wheeler Damboise with four points.
Wyatt Sibley scored 12 points for Nashua.
Lustre’s girls’ basketball team posted a 62-26 league victory over Nashua on Friday, Jan. 23.
The Lions jumped out to a 17-4 lead in the first quarter. Lauren Fast scored five points in the period while Lauryn Holzrichter and Kencia Brown had four points each.
Lustre increased the margin to 32-14 in the second period and 46-22 in the third quarter.
Top scorers for the Lions were Harlo Reddig with 12, Holzrichter with 11, Fast with 11 and Brown with 10.
Also scoring were Justice Byers with six, Sidney Klatt with four, Samantha Neufeld with four, Hannah Brown with two and Ashtyn Traeholt with two.
Kimber Tihista led Nashua with 10 points.
