Lustre Posts Conference Victories Over Bearcubs

The Lustre Christian Lions won both basketball games at home against Frazer on Saturday, Jan. 10. Lustre’s girls earned a 67-32 victory.

The Lions led 18-5 at the end of the first quarter and by a 35-7 half-time margin.

Leading Lustre’s scoring attack were Samantha Neufeld with 17, Lauryn Holzrichter with 15, Hannah Brown with 13 and Kencia Brown with 10 points.

Also scoring were Lauren Fast and Harlo Reddig with six points each.

Scoring eight points each for the Bearcubs were Elli Mail and Isabelle Fourstar.

Rounding out the scoring were BriAnne Beston with six, Cassidy Mail with five, Madison Garfield with three and Bethany Hotomanie with two.

Lustre’s boys jumped out to a 35-8 lead in the first quarter and captured a 67-22 win.

The Lions held a 51-10 halftime advantage.

Lustre’s Johnslee Pierre, Cam Reddig and Prestyn Klatt scored 11 points each. Chris Traeholt added 10 points.

Also scoring for the Lions were Wheeler Damboise with six, Hadden Olfert with four, Gunner Damboise with four and Joel Reddig with two.

Gabe Beston scored 14 of Frazer’s points. Bryce Fourstar had six and Cassius Smoker added two.
